Message from CEO’s Desk
This year should go down into the history of Krushi as a landmark! Having felt the need for change in order to remain relevant, we choose to go through an organization development and institution strengthening process. It took us through a brief state of transition and then right into total transformation.
Revisiting the vision and mission, we cam up with a new identity, whose core content is developed around the concepts of national, secular, independent, dynamic and professional development organization with its role focusing on support-financial and non-financial and implementation in special circumstances.
Collectively reflecting on our future we articulated our desired future, seeing Krushi as well as sustained, credible institution with committed professionals working down to the grass root level; an institution with clarity in program, perspective and focus in planning, monitoring and evaluation; an institution with coordination and cooperation with stakeholders and networking at various levels, a vibrant organization with dynamic leadership and governance; technically sound in coping with the latest trends and bringing holistic change in society as a catalyst; an organization promoting solidarity, justice and peace. In other words an organization sought after by everyone within and without the country; Big dreams!
However already with in the year, we have covered a lot of ground towards that destination. There has been a decisive restructuring of the governing and executive structures making them more democratic, representative and accountable with proper perspective and approach to programs. New human resources and administration department, documentation cell and finance resource mobilization cell are already in place. The process of decentralization and delegation of powers has been carried forward. Efforts to improve management systems have resulted in the development of finance manual, program manual, gender policy and document on finance resource mobilization. The new program approach with emphasis on rights based approach is underway. This and much more. Change is not a dreaded word anymore.
